My name is Alessandra Farias, and I’m a videographer based in Lisbon.
After several years working in photography and video, I had the opportunity to film a friend’s wedding. Until then, wedding videography wasn’t something I was particularly drawn to. I associated wedding films with staged moments, endless posing, and scenes that seemed to happen more for the camera than for the people themselves.
But because it was a friend’s wedding, I had the freedom to approach it differently: simply be there and capture everything as it unfolded, without interfering, directing, or asking anyone to behave a certain way.
That’s when I discovered that a wedding film could be something else entirely. An honest, spontaneous record of a day, preserving not just how it looked, but also the moments, people, and emotions that made it unique.
That’s what I aim to create: being there with you from beginning to end, allowing things to happen naturally, and telling the story of your wedding through a film that reflects how the day truly unfolded. So that, even many years later, you can return to those moments and feel as though you’re living them all over again.
